Gta V Ram Usage high?

Demonhax

I get the issue that my ram usage is at 94-97% used when playing gta, and my Gpu starts to trottle. My cpu usage is also kind of high, i use 90-97% of the Cpu while in game. Anyone else have this issue?

Specs:
Intel I5 2500k 4.2Ghz

8gb 1600mhz Ram

Gtx 770 2gb at 1254MHz (Go's down to 800ich when ram is used up)

Just RAM, my Vram is at 1500/2000 atm.

I use about 3.3gb of ram when im not playing Gta, just using crome, skype, etc. But when in game on Gta it on 7.8gb ram usage.

I think its a bit wierd since the minimum requirements was 4gb of ram.

GTA-V is a VRAM lair. It will use up to 1GB more VRAM that it tells you in game. So if its saying its using 7/8GB of VRAM its using over 8. Tone your settings down (I highly recommended tuning your AA, MSAA and grass settings down/off)

eek! sorry its late... I just did the same thing on another thread .

Anyway, Its known that GTA V has a RAM leak somtimes and you will get the message "running out of system RAM" etc. The recommended 'fix' for this is to let windows have full control over the page file size (virtual RAM). It wont stop the RAM leak but it will stop the game crashing due to lack of RAM. But its a fix until they implement a proper patch.

but 8gb is more than enough. my younger brother had the same problem with 8gb but it was because he thought he could be on a skype call, have firefox open, and play the game at the sme time. to fix this i stopped unnecessary programs (like utorrent and origin) from opening on system start and made sure gta was the only application he was using.

Is the memory leak the reason why my Gpu is running on low Mhz? It stays on 1252Mhz, but when my memory is at about over 7/8gb used it goes down to 800mhz.

might be. but im pretty sure gpu throttling is because of heat. what cooling solutions are you currently using.

check temps too.

im using gainwards stock 3fan cooler, but i have oc it with a costume fan curve. I monitore the temps all the time, and it's not going over 75C, so it's not the temp

Yes, this game just likes to eat all the resources it can.

My CPU gets to 60-80% but i have newer generation and hyperthreading so its normal for u to be at 90% for this game.

My ram goes up to 7.5-7.7GB when playing GTA and watching Twitch/Yoytube (i havr two monitors).

Vram usage in GTA V settings is Predicted value not exact value (for this use MSI afterburner or similar software).

http://www.howtogeek.com/74523/how-to-disable-startup-programs-in-windows/

It worked a bit. but then i dont have anything else then gta up. And im used to having facebook/twitch etc on my other monitors. But gta alone used about 5-6gb of the ram (With windows and evrything like that running) but im still getting this error sometimes http://gyazo.com/60ad5d8547927fa42b4f61fb3cbf4813 Have no ide what it means.

i have heard alot of people had this problem. you should download this http://www.razerzone.com/cortex. I love this app and hope it serves you as well as it did me. it is a game/app optimization tool providing some simplistic resources such as fps counters and some not so simplistic tools like its diagnostic scanner.

1. restart computer

2. use your pc the way you normally would (play gta)

3. when (if) it crashes open razer cortex go to boost

4. click analyze under the diagnostic tab

this should provide some results that look similar to this just post your results on this thread and ill do my best from there.

3.3gb of idle RAM usage is just... Wrong. I have 16gb 1333mhz and idle at like 2gb maximum. GTA V uses usually 6gb for me. See what's running in the background eating up all your RAM besides GTA

Nude Fist 1: i5-4590-ASRock h97 Anniversary-16gb Samsung 1333mhz-MSI GTX 970-Corsair 300r-Seagate HDD(s)-EVGA SuperNOVA 750b2

Name comes from anagramed sticker for "TUF Inside" (A sticker that came with my original ASUS motherboard)
