Need some new RAM 2x8-2x4 ?

So i am looking for some new ram, and have this in mind

CMD16GX3M2A2400C10   2x8

CMD8GX3M2A2400C10     2x4

I have

Z97 MPOWER

I7 4790K

Would like to know if I can have Dual channel with this setup?

And hear what you think about the idea? downside?

And yes I know it's overkill with 24 GB of RAM only to game, mostly

WHY!!!

2x4GB is all you'll need. Yes you can run dual channel on that board.

they will work but why the odd 24GB?

how much is 32GB?

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
