The LTT Build-Off Thread! (No Building Required)

We lost over 10 very significant people already...:(

What is the "community index" ? Is that the the main forum page with all the subforums listed?

Ouch it painful to see the community die slowly.

Yes community index is the main page of the forum.

Just because a few people have left doesn't necessarily mean the community is dying. Stuff happens, people get busy with life, things change. I'm sure someone else could take over setting up the build-off threads. One of us could probably do it, (though it helps to be a mod to be able to manipulate the threads/posts).

Perhaps LTT should add a few more active mods?

Wonderful! Now we just need some approval by @CornOnJacob.

Yea either if is me or the forum is losing its shine. Lost a few good members.

Even though he is FRICKING online, looking at the community index.

IDK if you were talking about me or ddbtkd456, but I wasn't online when you posted. It really is a shame that so many people are leaving, but it's not like the community is dying. A few notable people are gone, but many new ones are joining.

I can definitely still keep this running, I just get busy. I don't know your age (or the age of the other participants), but I'm a junior in high school which is the hardest, busiest year (even more than senior year) if you are planning to go to a high-caliber college (which I hope to do). I'm lucky if I make one post on the forum per day.

Thanks for your suggestions guys! Really appreciate them :)

Not on topic, but senior year is worse. College apps. Trust me. Harder course load. Take it from a Senior.

But, I support the hackintosh build idea.

I guess it just seems bad because I've only experienced 11th grade so far. At least college apps are done by the time winter comes around. I'm taking 4 AP classes right now, and next year I'll probably drop it down to 3, so that's why I'm expecting it to be easier.

On topic: I support the "beat a pre-built PC" idea.

Off topic: I wouldn't say Senior year is worse.  The first semester of senior year is the culmination of all the effort beforehand, and if you go to a good school, your classes as a junior are as challenging as senior classes.  Junior year as a whole is more strenuous than senior year, but that first semester of senior year ain't easy.

@CornOnJacob I'd do more AP classes if I were you.  From my experience, they're much more satisfying than regular courses, and once the AP tests are over in May, you're basically done.  I maxed out on AP classes my senior year and my last month of school was wonderful.

I MISS BUILD OFFS! Bring them back!

Would people like if I resurrected them temporarily in an unofficial build offs thread for week 57?

I mean, I would give full credit to him, but we need some sort of contest. It would also be labeled as unofficial. Though, I'm not sure it would get as much attention...

My idea was to be one of the official creator of the build contest

I was thinking of taking ownership of this tread which i will ask the moderators

then again hope that CornOnJacob could see this

Yeah. I have time to help out with it too. We can be co-workers on the build offs IFF the mods and CornOnJacob are ok with it.

But @CornOnJacob   PLEASE COME BACK!

I wish I had more time for the forum too guys. I would definitely be open to letting you post contests when I can't, but I would rather not change ownership of the thread.

We can discuss this further in a PM.
