It means they will cut support for it soon, so it will become a waste of money very fast.

Wait for Surface RT 2 and Pro 2<br />Surface RT took too much time to release, to a point that the Tegra 3, while awesome initially, is kinda crappy today.<br />Now that Microsoft has the design and the team and everything set in place to produce Surface's officially, the Surface RT 2 should have something that is new in terms of CPU giving you a perfectly smooth experience all the time, and the Surface Pro 2 will have much increase battery life.

End of the year is what I expect. They can do an announcement with Windows 8.1 official release. Would be a good way to show off Win8.1 at the same time.
