Window 7 Bluescreen BCCode c5, every few hours..... help.. please!

Hi all,

I could really do with a little help here!

I have had a blue screen 8ish times today alone, which is a problem normally but i'm trying to write my dissertation at the time being which is being made really rather difficult.

each time is appears to be the same driver causing the crash: ntoskrnl.exe.

is there anything i can do?

i would attach a couple of dump file but im not permitted to... :(

any help is greatly appreciated!

thank you!

Edit: its also now freezing, 3 today freezes and 2 blue screen (BCCode c5 and a). BCCode a showed hal.dll caused the crash 20/04/2015

Edit: despite memtesting my Ram to death, there are issues with one dimm the other dimm is fine but i'm still getting crashed even when only using the single dimm.

ntoskrnl is related to the OS corruption issues

do you have the Windows CD to perform a Windows Repair?

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Just because the problem is ntoskrnl.exe it does not always mean it is OS corruption, sometimes it is a faulty kernel-mode driver

Did the minidump mention any driver file name, something that ends with .sys

Yes that would help a lot.

these a few screen shots at the link below, you'll find the most recent 3 crashes, plus one from BOSD 'a' and one which blamed a different driver (hal.dll)

Iv Run memtest on my RAM which picked out some errors within 4 runs so im thinking the crashes are possibly caused by faulty RAM. Iv got a spare set of RAM in my pc now which memtest found no error with and ill see if i get any crashes in the next few days.

thank you for your help! it is very much appreciated.
