Wireless Connecting Problem

MalenskiiPC

OK. So my new build, does not have onboard wifi, and there is no wired port near where I can use it. I just got a Etekcity High Powered USB Wireless Adapter (http://www.amazon.com/Etekcity-Wireless-Network-Adapter-Antenna/dp/B006JWMOOI/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top), and installed the drivers from the cd. I tried to connect to my home network (WPA2-PSK; AES) and it got stuck identifying. I tried to configure it manually with the software provided, but it still got stuck identifying. I even found some newer drivers online and the same problem. Any help? It would mean alot. Really need to do some online gaming. :D

If you are going to be gaming a lot, get a proper wireless card or better yet run a cable. The USB adapters are horrible for other than web surfing and some light traffic. Disable the password and try to connect that way and see if it works.

Something wrong with your connection ?

Run the damn cable :)

Or you could get some powerline plugs if your not in reach of the modem/router :)

Have you tried turning it off and on again?
