14 day photo challenge

Momas
Go to solution Solved by Bsmith,

Hello, I would like to take the time to necro this dead topic with the fact that the unofficial LTT group on flickr just has launched it's FIRST photo challenge, based on this idea.

Feel free to join or look around, everyone is welcome afterall.

topic link: https://flic.kr/g/rFKAv

edit:

small question to @Blade of Grass could you maybe make my comment with the link for the flickr page/challenge best answer(or include the link to the page in your post), so that we it would be easier for us to continue it and if people stumble upon this some time in the future they can find their way to that pretty easy instead of accidental/forcefully necroing this

Welcome to the "14 day photo challenge"!

Here you have a chance to get back to photography or improve your skills in a fun and sometimes challenging way.

@Jaybird  No worries.  We should just try to keep images in this thread strictly for the challenge.  Good luck on your finals!

Right now would be a perfect time, however precipitation predictions for my area have let me down... There was a 70% chance of rain today...

sooo.... how is everybodies progress?

im currently waiting for the rain since making it myself didnt really work out so well(maybe tomorow whne i get some pipets form school) fridy it's uspposed to rain here...

and if friday also goes wrong i guess i have to dig up one of my older pics, altough that wouldnt be challenging, more like digging through a external HDD.

@Momas I just noticed that the poll starts at 3rd of april according to OP, shouldn't this be 3rd of may?

fixed

May the light have your back and your ISO low.

I would suggest next time a challenge that's not dependent on an uncontrollable variable. I've only had 1 day of rain so far and I was in school and working all day.

A better challenge would have been a water theme. Or somthing else that was doable by anyone.

you can take the concept of rain as far as you want, even the "it was raining and went to a car expo" could go up you you are willing to take it that far.

or like the OP says, create your own rain, a few droplets on a leaf, use the garden hose etc.

May the light have your back and your ISO low.

My submission....  Its a photo I took a couple years ago.  This week is pretty busy for me so I had to resort to some old files....

Sports car parked in front of a high end hotel.  It had rained that morning.

"Current challenge theme: Rain (If there's no rain you can always create your own!)"

You could try using a hose or even a shower-head.

I have every intention of participating but I do primarily nature photography so the idea of simulating rain is off putting. I have my shot planned out already but I would be happier if I could get it with real rain.

I was just offering my opinion on the topic. I would hate for the next challenge to be something like lighting.
