Since its analog, the quality of the cable plays a big role in what quality and resolution you can drive through the cable.

The reason is primary the length of it but it should be one of the more higher end cables out there yes

Yesterday I was doing some homework on my PC, when my sister comes to grab my laptop charger (she's been using it for hours skyping)

 

When she crawls under my desk to pull it out of the power bar, she pulls out my desktop power cable instead.

 

I hadn't saved.

Today i overheard some guy talking about mouses, he asked why do you need more buttons for gaming when you have like 100 on your keyboard.

No worse than experiences with some techies... At least they have an excuse. Many techies don't like to pick up books and learn anything new/interesting, become boring and bland and just robots repeating everything they hear that they agree with and ignoring what they don't like. Although, we have a few good personalities on YT and across the web on certain tech sites.

Best way to teach him is to play with a good gaming mouse with a bunch of buttons while he gets a regular mouse, then play him in a game that demands a lot of button pressing. You'll win since you won't have to jump around the keyboard

People in my school think bigger hard drives make a computer faster.

Fun Fact: It does. 

Larger capacity (which is what you mean by "bigger", I'm sure) drives spin at the same speeds, but more data moves across the head faster because it is more data in the same amount of space. 

It is a very negligible amount faster, but it is faster.

An old guy brought a printer from us, I asked what OS he has, he said I don't know, I said is it XP, Vista or 7? He said none of them ring a bell, I then said, it isn't Windows 8 is it? He said that sounds like it... anyway, he came back a couple of days later saying it wont work, the CD doesn't work and neither do the drivers... he then told me his PC has Windows 98 and said that shouldn't really matter though, meanwhile, after half an hour explaining how tech works, he bought himself a second hand XP machine...

A few days ago this one guy in the class below us came to me and my friend (who is a techie) and he said: "You know the best graphics card in the world?" and we said yea the one that costs 1000$, then he replies: Ya i don't know what it is called now again, but i am going to get it. Me and my friend walked away and facepalmed so hard.

The thing is that he is one of the 10 people in the class below us who play minecraft on their school laptops. It has a Core2Duo @ 2.4GHz and 2GB of RAM.

People who dont understand what wifi is or how it works. Also they told me they used a cable to transfer photos into drop box from the app on their phone... Im unaware if cloud storage can work like that but it sounds stupid to me.

My grandma isn't much of a techie (at all) but I did manage to get her to understand why her old programs from the early 2K's wouldn't work with her new PC. Had to explain 32-bit and 64-bit compatibility, and the difference between XP 32-bit and Windows 7 64-bit... But I did it.

A friend of mine was playing GTA: San Andreas on a really shitty netbook, and I asked him if he was annoyed by all the lag. He explained to me that it was lagging so much because of all the cheat codes he was using. When I said that it wasn't the cheat codes which was causing the lag, but his shitty computer, he did not believe me, because he was certain his computer had enough megabytes.

I use my netbook to play it. But I OC the GMA 950 graphics to 400MHz, keep the CPU at 1.7GHz and turn on the ghosttown cheat.

I am trying to get my grandmother to buy a cheapo tablet... it's far more intuitive than a PC and might be awesome with Whatsapp, then it would be easy to send her pictures or whatever.
