Let's just say, I didn't really have a nice place to assemble it

My friends and I were soon gonna put the CPU in...........

IDEK. All I know is that I had to buy a new Mobo cos the supplier determined it was physical damage and not a manufacturing defect.

Same. I knew difference CPUs had different sockets by the time I was 11 and I built my first PC on my 12th birthday. I did manage to mess up pretty bad (I've mentioned it before, forgot standoffs and killed GPU/wifi card, also would have been a lot worse without my semi-techie friend's help.) but I chose parts that were all compatible and was a decent deal. I've learned a ton more since then and have successfully helped my friend build a PC without issue (other than a bootloop but reseating ram fixed it). I still have a lot to learn, but I've gained a lot of technical knowledge in the last couple years.

ok done with my life story

NON-TECHIE TIME!!!

I tend to know more about iPhones than people who own iPhones. Whenever people have trouble hearing sound on their phone I just flip the mute switch. When people's iPhones get frozen, I'm the one that holds power+home.

I've never owned an iPhone in my life.

Haha the only thing I've fucked up is my 760 but I got it RMAed..

its asus ..

I do those shit also.. Then again I own a iPhone so I have to know this.

Haha if you want to know more about iPhone I'm here.

If you read the stuff from this site, they claim to review the reviews, which is why it can take a couple weeks for yours to show up.  Apparently they're not reading very carefully.

New one from my "special" friend (the one that thinks VRAM is all you need to measure GPU's performance, meaning his GT610 is as good as my old HD7870 since they both have 2GB of VRAM!)

I was talking with him about the Note 7 being discontinued, the conversation goes as follow;

HIM: "OH! I have to check with my work then!"

ME: "Wait, you have a Note 7?"

HIM: "No, but I have to check for my Note 5!"

ME: *lough sigh* ...

HIM: ???

ME: "The Note S E V E N is being recalled and discontinued, not the WHOLE Note series!"

HIM: "Oh?"

... stay tuned for the next dumb story! xD

as a 14 year old lad that is actually one of the major things i looked for when buying a card in the local shop

granted my budget was super tight anyways so my selection was low end to begin w/

but i bought the Powercolor Radeon HD5450 since it had more vram and a better DX support than some other card (polly a GT 520, who knows)

lil fun fact , the 5450 i have seems to have rather rare board design ,

every 5450 i saw after this one , used or new even the same type and brand had a low profile board

this one is full height , potato pictures under the spoiler :P

This just gave me a great idea... they should sell addin cards that are nothing but VRAM.  Like, 32 GB of VRAM, but all they do is reroute the iGPU to ports on the card xD

It'll sell like hotcakes! xD

Well, this next story is pretty much my fault for asking in the first place...

I wrote a mail to a local Electronics Shop, asking for their price for a new Sony 65" 4k TV i wanna buy.

A few hours later i get a reply

"Sorry, we don't have this exact TV here, but its also only 200hz, which is was too low for that screen size!

But i can recommend your the Samsung *BlaBlaBla 65"* for X€"

- STOP RIGHT HERE, THAT'S AN FHD SCREEN?!?!?!

200Hz is not enough for 65" but 1080p is? Okay, go on...

"Or we also have the Samsung *BlaBlup 65" with 1300PQI* FOR AN AMAZING PRICE!"

- Oh okay, let me see...

Yeah it's at least 4k. The first google result is cheaper however....

One more google link away, it's a native 50hz display, derp.

That's some top notch advice right here, thanks a bunch!

When you say "Fast", do you mean like, low input lag so you can game on it?  Because even the best TVs aren't all that fast (a whole frame of lag generally) and there are vrey few models (if any) in any given production year that are that good.  You can check on them all here: http://www.displaylag.com/display-database/

Just filter/sort by what you need.
