Experiences with non-techies

Welcome to the corporate world xD

Sounds just like my workplace except we're the client and anything we say is ignored by the higher ups that ultimately take the final decision. Because of this, we're switching to a new ERP suite that has less functionality and is slower to work with than the old ERP ... Great job guys, great job!!!

Yah, I've been battling it for a while but oh well. I tried to save them from the customer going ballistic and have documentation of all the times I tried, so my butt is safe when the higher ups drop the hammer, lol.

Gotta love it when your new software is worse than the current stuff xD

Over here in Belgium I see many stores that are switching from paper-only to fully computerised systems but most of the time it's slow as shit and is just terrible made. I can make a better website for their needs than the businesses they hire to do it... (Websites they use to check the clients and their purchases and stuff)

exact, the 7790 wasn't a dual GPU and was between the 7770 and 7850 in terms or performances

Yeah, if I remember correctly it was the GCN 1.1 version of the 7770 (correct me if wrong, I'm too lazy to search it up :D).

Took this a few days ago and forgot to post... So there's these "work rooms" at our school you can book, and there's a little display/kiosk thing outside that shows the schedule for them... too bad they die a lot xD

What kind of device runs it? I don't think it is an IoT display by looking at that.

No idea what device it is... it's all enclosed, but by that screen it looks like an (albeit older) fully-fledged PC

They could probably run it off an RPi and a cheap monitor no problem.

I never thought I would find non-techie experiences in the food service industry but I just did. Yesterday my boss started freaking out because two of the POS computers and the second cash drawer weren't turning on. Since I had closed the night before he thought I may have done something to them.

All three just weren't plugged in firmly enough.

I've built 3 PC's, but none for myself... In fact, I'm using an iMac that my dad bought for me as my desktop. Awkward...

Please don't say "SSD drive." By doing so, you are literally saying "Solid State Drive Drive" and causing my brain cells to commit suicide. The same applies to HDD (Hard Disk Drive) and PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express).
