My friend told me that his Pentium 4 3.20 GHz is better than my AMD FX 8120 because it has more GHz. I told him about my 4.0 GHz overclock and he said that doesn't work and it's still not as good as the p4 because it's base is 3.2 and mine is 3.1. We did a Minecraft comparison and he got like 40 fps at most with glitched textures and random frame drops. He also has 4 gb of ram and no gpu and said ram doesn't matter for games and his cpu is good so he doesn't need a gpu... He also says ps3 is better than xbox 360 and pc. I had never facepalmed so hard in my life.

Stupidity. Pure stupidity.

And I thought I was a very stupid (or just plain retarded), but seeing this... Makes me wonder how uneducated a lot of the humanity is.

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.

i have more stories if you want me to share, but this one happened recently. my friend told my other friend that his Toshiba with 4 GB RAM and no GPU except for Intel HD 4400 and a dual-core i5 at 2.6 GHz is better than his Alienware 14 with a GT 750M and an i7-4700MQ 2.4 GHz simply because "GPUs don't matter when your CPU is good" and because the clockspeed is higher

Apparently moving the file itself was a strange concept.  Apparently a lot of people think you have to open the PowerPoint and Save As to somewhere else.

I can explain this. With windows xp (default settings, I took care to change that immediately of course on my pc) moving the file with the cursor resulted in creating a shortcut to the file instead of copying it. I remember I used to get so frustrated with this at school as I often forgot about that and ended up with a useless shortcut on the pendrive. So a lot of non-techies who used xp for a long time and don't know about ctrl+c are used to just opening it and using "save as".

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

sudo chmod -R 000 /*

Exactly. Monkeys are smart. Why can't we be like them, even if we are similar to them? Dumb fuck.

a few months ago my mom said "wow! you know more about tech than I do!" fyi i have been watching computer people for two years now, and mobile device people for three years.

One thing i hate about apple is improving the speed of their a# processors, they just double the cpu or gpu power or double the ram, they then say wow! in 3.5 yars we made the ipad 64x as fast! even though it is around 4x as fast.

something i just don't understand is all in ones, they look nice, but if you don't need much power, you can get a small desktop that can do everything you need for cheap, if you can sped a lot its better to get a high end desktop. there are a few cases where they are ok, but getting a desktop or laptop is almost always better.

Well thats better than what Intel/AMD are doing they don't double the speeds every generation normally the speed increase is marginal.
