I too liked my 6100, in fact it is still running in my sisters in law esports pc, my brother has a 9590 and it still does pretty well with his RX 480 8gb.

theres a quad core fx chip in one of the pcs in this house. It is the most powerfull processor here.

Lots of "training" videos from the past refer to it as such, sadly. In a roundabout way it IS probably the easiest way to explain it to luddites. It is a unit that's central and performs the processing. Lots of people elevate the importance of the monitor, mouse, keyboard, and other peripherals (in very different ways than we gamers) that causes confusion.

Not really a story but I just hate every person who overestimates the worth of whatever piece of tech they are selling, and when you tell them that it's actually worth much less they all turn arrogant and become irritating.

Here the used market formula is get the new price and add 10%. Extra points if non-negotiable.

 

Meanwhile I sell my stuff for actual reasonable prices and of course everyone wants to buy it. I can even sell some shitty power supply and within the same day I'm already selling it to someone, because I price it at like 15~20€.

I've got a Core2Solo laptop with 512MB of DDR2 RAM, a 250GB HDD, and a DVD drive with a 14.1" screen, no operating system, asking $450 obo no low balls I know what I have.

I gotta call myself out for work I did 20 years ago on my water cooled PC. Only 2 standoff screws were correct, the others were just kind of 'in there' and the threads all jacked up. Thankfully I had spare standoffs and new screws.

Vintage bikes too, here is a random assortment of rusty parts, most of a frame with some rusted and non original rims and ratty tires. It's a gem, a pearl! 11k, needs to be gone by next week, no lowballs it's a classic

Actually saw a refurbished GT 710 going for £50 today.  Not ebay but on an actual site for refurbed hardware.  Can get the same model unopened on ebay for £36.
