You could always put a copper plate on the chair while you're away and hook that plate to a car battery. That keeps people off my chair.

Lets just say I was gone for a while one day and I forgot I had that on my chair... :unsure:

I have never killed a cat. But I have had experience with weapons and killing of other animals. Mostly snakes. But I figure what will kill a snake will kill a cat.

i have the same problem XD both of my cats usually cuddle up together on my chair.

i just pick them up and put them on my couch instead.
But they are ragdoll mixes.... so they are like the slinkies of the cat world.

they also like to use my chair as a scratching post

Another one I didn't think of: every time your cat sits in your chair, get up, and spin the chair around and around until the cat gets the message, or you spin it so hard that it flies three days from Tuesday, whichever comes first.

I just came up with the best idea. Stick a towel on your chair, so that when your cat sits on your chair, you can pull on the towel, and your cat will go flying.

Scent the chair with an odour that your cat cannot tolerate. A citrus smell often works.
