my 120mm fan screws are too thick/small??

You could try using screws from case acceassories. I looked some pics of c70 and those front holes look really small.

Are you using screws from fan box or those came with case? Short screws are meant to be screwed from outside thought case and into fan. Lenght is maybe 0,5cm. If you need to screw them into radiator, you'll need longer screws.
