Plasti-dip'd my Gskill Ripjaws X 1600, thought I would post some pics.

started by removing the stickers and taping up the PCB. I was going to remove them but they are really stuck on there, and I didn't currently have enough thermal pads to replace all the ones I would have destroyed.

11hezxz.jpg

Many many super thin coats later.

67sbnq.jpg

After pulling the tape off. 1 PCB received some over-spray, but thats why I used plastidip, just peeled it right off.

Stickers back on.

Back in the system.

2hf3mkp.jpg

It looks a little purple in the pictures because my LED strip is actually a RGB strip with no true white setting, I plan on upgrading to real white LED's when dazmode gets em' back in stock.

Putting the stickers back on is a nice touch.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

[update]

I changed the front I/O with the unit from the white 760T and the white LED and I've changed the noctua front fans out with Thermaltake riing fans. (Yes I bought them before computex) I like the LEDs though, you can't find anything else with that plastic LED ring like the BMW headlights.

Also I have some AutoCad designs that I'm going to get cut for a power supply cover and one peice to hold the temprature displays in the near future, stay tooned.

Ya all you've got to do is get at that power supply and it will be perfect :P the fan grills make the build for me :D

Thanks! The grills keep my fingers intact, too many times I bumped a spinning fan.

And I'm excited about the power supply cover, I'm getting it cut out of 20 gauge steel with a water-jet.

Awesome! Great build and nice to see AMD still getting some love and extreme cooling overkill. :D

There will also be some green LED fans from cougar in the front and back, the painted fans are on the top rad.

I tilt the case otherwise you can't fill the res because the surface tention of the water gets it stuck in the fill port.

o7wsUAA.jpg

I flushed a few times already but maybe one or 2 more to get all the pastel out of the waterblocks I think.

I mean, no wires yet, but you get the picture. I was going to just plug everything in and work on extensions later, but now, she is dead. My DDC decided to burn out on me right after filling.

@Necrodead that's sad that your pump died, but I do like both this build and your old white one looks really nice. I like the fittings instead of curved hardline. In the new one.

Thanks, the tiny fans are working great!

In person the green from the LEDs is much more vibrant, the camera just doesn't want to get the real colour.

I've got some temps for my rig, 20min prime 95 test, small fft.

Pump speed: 2100rpm

Fan speed: ~800rpm

Liquid temp idle/load: 24C/28C

VRM temp idle/load: 28C/34C

CPU temp idle/load: <20C*/61C

Voltage: 1.452V

Clock: 4.6ghz

*Temp is not read correctly at low temps, usually says between 13C-21C

Really nice build! I love the way the green glows :P

I'm thinking of getting this case but one thing I don't really like is how the top isn't open. I noticed you raised it up (in you june 13th post), are you just using small round magnets to do that?
