I only have the 2 GB model, so it's medium settings only (could have gotten the 4 GB model, but it was nearly $50 more at the time vs this one).

Ah, I got the 4GB bc at the time it was cheaper than the same model 2GB

I was experimenting with GPU memory overclocks, long story short I spent an hour today thinking I'd fried my GPU's memory. The screen would artefact then go black at login, I had to roll back using system restore for Overdrive to forget my memory overclock.

Oh yeah and meanwhile in 5GHz land.... c:

So back to the question, Forza, or plunk down a bit for Project Cars?

I can't overclock my GPU at all. 4.6GHz seems to be the limit for my 4690K.

I'll run the stress test for another 19 minutes (been running for an hour and 11 minutes) because honestly, 100MHz isn't a significant boost at all.

Agreed.

All I can get out of my GPU is 100MHz on the core and 130MHz on the memory.

That's more than the staggering 0MHz core and 0MHz memory I can get on my GTX 760.

And then I'm here with a 290 that does 1200 but only with 1.46V (+253 on the core :D and +346 on the memory c:)

How about 46 MHz overclock on the GPU clock (GPU clock will not stay stable at 1500 for anything) , and an additional 550 MHz on the memory. With the 960, that memory clock alone yields close to 10% in improvement.

What's your ASIC quality? Mine is 75%.

Apart from the voltage that's alright, mine artefacts on anything past 1100MHz, voltage does nothing for me, so I undervolted.  B|

1.46 volts with ASIC at 68% bby. It's watercooled, so I'm sure it's fine :P

83.5%, according to GPU-Z.

Huh, have you tried undervolting?

My laptop with a Radeon 5470 overclocked to 900 MHz (base of 750 MHz)  on the Core, and 1000 MHz on the DDR3 (up from 800 MHz). Improvements were substantial enough that Battlefield 3 was barely playable on low settings at 800 x 640 resolution.

No. My GPU already struggles in some games as it is, I don't want to make it run worse :P

That's not how undervolting works, if you maintain the same clockspeed, you might be able to undervolt it and make it cooler and consume less power. I asked because of the high ASIC quality.

Oh. Nah, it already runs cool enough, especially in the winter.

Huh, have you tried undervolting?

According to GPU-z lower ASIC when watercooled means higher clocks, probably because you can feed more voltage without the temps going too high.
