It amazes me how good that 2004 Transformers game looks on the PS2.

The PS2 had monstrous fill rate and bandwidth that was capable of matching it's successor. Particle effects (such as explosions and smoke) and other fill heavy effects like grass and transparent objects tended not to slow down the PS2's performance much.

However, the hardware was developed before pixel shaders were a thing (and hardware T&L for that matter), and the 50 GB/sec VRAM was limited to a mere 4 MB in size, the latter proving to be a royal PITA for ambitious developers, necessitating texture layering via multi pass techniques. The 32 MB of main memory was also constricting, and quite slow in both bandwidth and latency.

My college roommate/first boyfriend found out that I was gay when he caught me watching sailor moon at the dorm. It was awkward for a few days only to find out he swings both ways. xD

Like bitcoin minning, except you are actually using your hardware to help universities cure diseases, instead of minning crypto currency.

I haven't folded at home since last year I think.

I thought @Jamiec1130 was just joking about helping find cures. But then it’s for a good cause.

I submitted my job application. I hope I get it.

Neat, in some ways I'm tempted to look for a different job but mostly what I could get would be about the same as what I already have so like idk.

But if I went with a couple of the other options I could possibly transfer to a location down south when I move down there next year.

Nope. It's a really good cause that helps Stanford University.

*Sigh* I have 9 Sources and 3 amps for my audio system..... Kinda need a mixer so I can run everything without having to disconnect and reconnect cables all the time... All the mixers I can find are either mono ports at the inputs with stereo being separated as 2 channels completely (as it usually is done) or very small combined stereo variants, 2, 4, 6 ports.... Guess I'm getting 3 real cheap mono/stereo ones that are knob only and no extras at all.... Even if I did get a better 12 channel variant its really only good for 6 inputs cause I would be combining 2 mono inputs per stereo device.... Not to mention I would also need to buy xlr to 3/4, xlr to 1/8 or xlr to dual rca adapters..... And then I'd still need to buy a cheap 4 stereo/8 mono box for the few extra ports I need! Gah!!!

Luke is out of Canada for TwitchCon rn (and the hotel wifi is really bad, as is usually the case), so he wasn't able to make the WAN Show.

He did WAN show last week but yeah, a Luke video will be once in a blue moon just like his xbox one x video.

Luke in a video nowadays is kinda like that favorite uncle you only see during Christmas but when he’s around he knows what best gifts to buy.

Yeah, just WAN show now. Occasionally he'll do a LTT video, when the planets align correctly.
