Windows RT is the highly redacted, forked version of Windows 8 that is designed to run on ARM instead of x86/64 processors. Application support is limited only to Windows Store with the exception of Office 2013 and Internet Explorer 11. It flopped because of their ghost town app store and no one can figure out who is it good for since Windows RT is sort of an iOS/Android competitor for tablets but looks like regular Windows 8. It has the "desktop" but can't run desktop apps and tweaking settings like brightness would require at least six steps instead of one for both iOS and Android.

That sounds like a terrible OS.  Especially when now at least there's surface tablets with shiny and nice full Windows.

Blocking/ignoring should be a last resort reserved for those icky people that move past even a minor argument.

That's what reporting is for, Blocking and Ignoring is up to each individuals tastes, though if continued interaction will lead to any rules breaking from the person considering it then they probably should.

Edit: Nowadays I try to block before getting into conflict with them, it makes it so much more simple.

I have had only 2 heated up argues in here, one of them end up becoming a friend of mine afterwards and the other ended up banned from the forum so I never had any need for this "feature" but if it does exist that's somewhat handy to know.

Me too on here.  I've added a small number of people that were simply unreasonable in an argument or had views so strongly against mine that I didn't want to see more of their brand of stupid but a few times I've used the option to show a post of theirs so I could see what they said in threads when talking to other people.  

 

The people I'm referring to aren't merely people I disagreed with but have shown themselves to be mean and bigoted against things like anime that there's no legit reason to hate.  

 

These people crossed a line where they didn't just calmly express a reasonable opinion but instead tried to judge others without the right to do so and attempted to force their views on others.  

 

 

 

Simply having a different opinion from me isn't enough to block someone.  It takes a higher than normal level of bigot and mean person to bother me enough to block people.

It's called ignoring people on LTT.  In your account settings there's an option for adding users to your ignore list.  Then their posts and stuff will be hidden so you don't have to see jerks saying stuff that bothers you.
