What does he plan on DOING with his PC.

Gaming ONLY?

Gaming with Video Editing..?
Non-Gaming Powerhouse?
Media Centre Watching with Light Gaming?

NEED USAGE Scenarios

The 7750 from System 1 & the 7670 from System 2 is not going to cut it for ANY GAMES besides LOW LOW LOW settings, and forget about High Resolutions..

Minimum GPU should be 7770/650TI, Or the 7850/660 cards.

*If he wont build it, YOU SHOULD.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

You should probably tell him to, or get assistance picking his own parts. Pre-builts are almost always a bad choice.

Edit: I'd get the second one though imo.

If your wants to go with an I power pc to their website were they have much better choices for customization but building his own through the forum is the way to go

I'd rather get a PS4 than either, like honestly they aren't any more powerful. Just build it for him. I do it all the time.

Thanks guys for the help. He wants to game and I told him he wont be able to play any games at reasonable settings. He needs to get a computer though because his laptop is broken. Any prebuilts you guys recommend? Or part lists for that matter? under $600?

Try NCIX, ibuypower, cyberpower pc, and digital storm. Prebuilts from anywhere else are crap.

Prebuilts=Crap, not for gaming even if they advertise it with "CUTTING EDGE GAMING GRAPHICS" you'll be getting an i7 and a 7750.

Not necessarily but it does depend on what they've done first,

I've built quite a few free of charge but if they fuck with me then I charge them, have to make a living some how in this world

pre-build PC's are usually using some custom parts and they're will be cutting edge here and there, you'll be excited just to look at the price but you don't know what the heck are those things in specifics.

Build his own, or you help him or let the tech guys make it

What do you guys think about this? http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1351773

I'm going to try and convince him to build his own and a bundle would keep it simpler.

Instead of buying a kit, just make a list of parts that he should buy. Are either one of you uncomfortable building a computer? I assume that you and your friend live close by, so if you build the computer then you can take it to him. Paying to ship the parts to you then the rig to him makes it a better deal to buy a pre-built from a good company. Like I said before, NCIX.com, ibuypower.com, cyberpowerpc.com, and digitalstorm.com are the best that I know of. If you find a different company then ask here and I will look at it.

I looked at NCIX, ibuypower, cyberpower and digital storm but none of them have a computer for under $600.
