Off topic: I'm expecting to see some "awesome" advice out of this topic...

On topic: Yeah, Ccleaner is fine for an SSD. It just cleans up temporary files Windows and modern web browsers make a daily basis to give back space. I doubt they even allow you to run the defragging tool part of it on an SSD.

1. No it isnt

It is made by piriform just like Ccleaner. He more than likely has mechanical drives as well.

1. Yes it is

2. You were very misleading

Please explain how the act of defragging a SSD will in any way harm it.

The reason people dont recommend it is because of the waste of write cycles, not because the act/concept of defragging causes any harm itself.

Defragging an SSD does zero good as they don't fragment and uses LOADS of write cycles for no reason..

Thus harming.

Yes, and because of this defraggler will not defrag and SSD. Pretty simple.

Also, a typical SSD will last at over 800TB written data. You would have to defrag the SSD tens of thousands of times to kill it. Get real.

CCleaner is fine it does nothing that could hurt a SSD other than the drive wiper function that writes the drive with all zero's effectively destroying any existing data. The only time that is necessary is when you're throwing away the drive or getting rid of the machine.
