if a specific company says that any form of gpu overclocking can and usually does cause the game to crash its not the overclock thats unstable its the game, DE has said its the game.

Overclocking can cause instability. It is not a manufacturers job to make sure their game works with your poor overclock. I'm glad you're done being wrong. It's getting annoying trying to explain your ignorance to you  -_-

Right now my Titan X is idling at 39-42 degrees C, and it can get over 70 while gaming.

What does your GPU usage look like when playing GTA V?

If you looking in to your motherboards manual in the troubleshooting or beeps section have a look what does the manual say about what 3 beeps are first..

Use a program like msi afterburner to moniter the gpu usage %. It should be above 95%, Ideally it would be pinned at 99-100%

Also do you have the latest drivers?
