Good Dual band Router?

So the Nvidia shield is coming out soon and it recommends a dual band router.

What are some good options for about $150 USD?

So far I have been looking at:

Netgear R6250-100NAS

Netgear R6200

ASUS Dual-Band Wireless-N 600

ASUS RT-N66U Dual-Band Wireless-N900

 

Im not sure what the advantage of the more expensive ones are and if I don't have to it would be nice to keep it under $100.

But willing to go to around $150 if there are some large advantages.

Linksys EA4500 is boss, you can find it on sale for around sub $100 USA. Its a dual band N900 router so yeaaaaaa. It's ballin.

I would go with a router supporting AC like the Asus RT-AC66U or the Linksys EA6400 - 6700.

I am a novice when it comes to routers, what is AC?

The new standard following the N standard. It's basically just faster then N, you won't get any benefits from it right away, since you probably don't have any device support it, but you still can max out the N standard and new device will all have the AC standard soon. Many upper tier Z87 Mainboard for instance come with AC onboard already

Ah okay, I looked and the Netgear R6200 I listed is AC.

It is also cheaper then the two you referred me to.

Are the any benefits that justify me getting the more expensive ones you suggest?

Just suggested them because i've already tested them myself.

 

The Netgear R6200 only does 300+867 MBit/s like for instance the Linksys EA6300. I can't however speak for the real world difference in performance.
