Yeah I heard those were good and if they were black I would buy them without question but it would completely ruin my color scheme.

Sure, but that's the same accross the board, and the only fan manufacturer I know of that's been pulled up for lying (by the online fanatics that run their own tests) is Silenx.

all in all hes probably not looking a very big delta t maybe 1c to 5c by changing fans, best reason is less noise.
