catalyst control center saying "to continue, start a new task" while making eyefinity group.

so when i am in the process of making an eyefinity display group within amd catalyst control panel, it says "to continue, start a new task" and i try doing everything, lauching a game, opening a new browser window, opening sony vegas and adobe after affects, but nothing happens. it just stays there forever. here is a link to a tutorial that i watched to try and see what was going on, and as you can see, it just does it by itself immediately. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8g-xB7tzzig#t=158

 this screen comes up after he clicks "continue" at 2:38 also apply and discard do nothing
