shawn finkenstead

Tomorrow ill be getting my Nepton 280l and I will be mounting it in the front of this case. Doesn't seem to hard. Should be a good learning experience for a new builder. I will post lots of pics when I am finished.

Well FedEx finally got here. Going to start this soon might wait till the wife gets home from work so I don't have to stop half way. Also bought a 60cm Led strip and I went ahead and bought a cat 7 Ethernet cable. I know it was a waste.

Well Coming to you from a tablet because after dinner late last night I got started. And after about an hour I figured out I forgot to get alcohol to clean off the Tim.

About to get started so I can get this finished. Kind of glad I held myself up so now I can take more pictures than I did. Its been pretty easy so far just time consuming as most mods are.

A sneek peak for those who have been waiting. I got to pull it back out to align the last mounting holes.

This is the point where I am scared to death. Lol. First cooler install where I apply the TIM. And yes I removed the sticker.

Back up and running. going to fine tune a few things the ill do a build log with pictures.

Alright to get started you'll need a Dremel a drill with 3/16 bit and a phillips and flathead screwdriver.

First you need to remove the front fan housing remove the fans and cut out the built in fans grills.

Now you need to remove the fan dowels at the top of the housing so you can drill it out. Also you need to install both fans you will be using in the housing so you can see where to drill the knew holes for the bottom fan.

Once you got your housing ready put it back the case without the rad installed. you got to sit the rad in it from the inside.

You need to remove the plastic drive bay bracket from under the 5.25 bays for room.

Here are the screw I used. The box said 6-32 3/8. you use these to screw into the tops of your fan mounting screws.

This looks awesome. Very clean. Gotta love the Define R4. :)

Thank you. The design of the Cooler Master 280l made it easy to stay clean.

Edit. That and the case design.
