[Need Help] Cry of Fear (GoldSrc Game) The Specified video mode is not supported the game will now run in software mode

So, this is for a Friend not for me, every time my friend starts Cry of Fear (Based on the Half-Life 1 engine, Gold Source) it gives him out this error

 

"The Specified video mode is not supported the game will now run in Software mode"

 

We already tried everything but we can't find a solution, if you could help us it would be fine....

 

The only thing I know is that his Graphics Card is and nVidia 9600GT.

 

If you could help us it would be very nice.... :D

 Microsoft .NET Framework 4 is Required   

 

 

go and download it if you dont have it already, then i should work
