Don't buy from G2Play

This is to warn everyone interested in buying from g2play.com

A few days ago, I ordered a game key from this site; The key they sent me was a duplicate.

First off, they claim that their average response time is 30min 24/7.

I opened a ticket at their support desk. After sending the required screenshots it took them a full 10 hours to respond,

stating that the problem was with one of their resellers. Did I mention I had to create a second ticket, to draw attention to my 

original one? They just ignored it, it seems.

Anyway, they responded saying it would be fixed in 24 hours, if not, I had to contact them again. 6 hours before the deadline,

I reminded them saying I was expecting my working key before the deadline. It is now two hours past that deadline.

They have not responded in 24 hours, although I updated my ticket three times. 

If you want to buy something cheap, buy your games from another webstore. 

 

update: After 48 hours of silence, they send a new key and a mystery (steam) gift. Lesson learned; they will make it up to you, but it can take 3-4 days without you knowing what will happen.

please read the complete post before you comment. They responded after 10 hours, after the creation of a new ticket mentioning the first. 

Their last response was 20 hours ago, the deadline for the 'fix' has already passed. Which for a company, claiming that their average response time is 30 minutes, is not acceptable.

 

Good thing you never had an issue, cause if you ever have one, you are going to have a bad time.

Well that's what you get for buying from a non-steam source. I wouldn't ever trust a non-steam seller to sell me a perfectly working legit key for a game.

It seems like you (and g2play) don't have a clue about how support for a company should work. I work in IT support myself, and I can assure you that this is not the correct way. I would probably get fired if I closed a ticket in such a manner. Your main goal should always be to keep the customer satisfied, even if you lose some money. One (or a couple) of reviews can make or break your company. Please remember that good reviews usually don't reach the internet, but bad ones do, like this one. You would have the same feeling if it was you who just got ripped off  . If you pay for a product, you expect it to work, nothing more and nothing less, it's not right if people steal from you like this. They shouldn't hide behind the face of their resellers, because in the end it's g2play who sold the key, and they have to take full responsibility for the products they sell. Think again when buying from them next time  . I have bought from them once, and I had no issues either, but I will think twice in the future, cause I don't want to end up like this.

I read the complete, you are assuming that they only responded because of the 2nd ticket instead of thinking maybe that they were busy with a lot of tickets maybe? You submitting a second ticket is ABSOLUTELY no guarantee that your first ticket will be noticed sooner

It's simple, if you can't answer to your customers in time, you need to hire more staff. 10 hours is a VERY long time to take a ticket in progress, especially if they don't pick it up in a serious manner after such a wait. The OP should have been given a solution within the timeframe of those 10 hours, in the form of a new key. What has to be arranged with the reseller, is something that has to happen afterwards, without the customer experiencing any inconvenience. It's entirely the problem of the company that has sold him the key. I'm not accusing you of the fact that you don't know how support works, I'm just assuring you that you don't  .

No, it's what you get from buying from unauthorised key resellers. There are lot's of stores that are perfectly legitimate and cheaper than Steam.

Unauthorised resellers are risky business. I would advise anyone not to purchase through them.

This is why you dont buy the USER keys, but the ones that are sold straight from G2A.

Gigabyte tech support and their ticketing system is DAYS until a reply is made, not Hours.

 

Consider yourself lucky.

 

Isolated in your case maybe...but creating a second ticket does not make your problem get solved faster, even if you think it does... it doesn't, to be honest, If I saw a user posting a new ticket every few hours (not that you did) , but I'd ignore it and focus on people who don't abuse the system.

I bought countless Games from G2P and had never a single Problem with them.

I had to do with their support and they always answered quick and polite and solved the problem.

G2Play doesn't even sound legitimate. Sounds like a spin off of G2A, buy from them instead.
