I would wait with that D750 or 5Dmk3, new 5D line(5Dr, 5Ds and 5D mk4) got confirmed and gets announced next week, 4k video, 3types, 50+mp, said to have same price as the mk3

50mp? thats waaay too high, i dont need that many mega pixels haha xD but i will wait and see if canon do release a new 5d series camera.

Having that many MP will be good for sports and wildlife as it will allow for more cropping room when you just can't get close enough.

If so, you can choose a good FourThirds or a good APS-C sensor camera, since the image is cropped out aswell and you can get 1.5x closer (with APS-C) and 2x closer with MFT.

Also, Range extenders are available :D

it can't hurt to wait, since they get announced/released between 2-8 februari(2015), but it might also speed up the 5dmk3 purchase since these priceses will fall then.

May the light have your back and your ISO low.

I understand that, but it is also nice to be able to take wide angle photos with the same camera.

Canon 40mm STM Pancake Lens (arrived but haven't had time to open)

lovely small lens, especially with a macro filter set includded, altough you need to keep the focus in mind, since it spins around infinte on MF, which is pretty annoying.

May the light have your back and your ISO low.

Thanks for the advice! Looking forward to playing with it, but it was an impulse buy rather than a necessity. I focus mostly on video, and this was more for travel photography. Might take it out tomorrow.

in that case you will love it, bought it myself witht he intend i could put on a lens but not adding any/too much length to my body, which worked perfect and the lens performs quite good as well.

May the light have your back and your ISO low.

I would like to know how sharp the 2x cropped out photo from full frame would be in comparison to the fullsize picture from the MFT camera.

Start with a simple camera! an entry-level DSLR and kit-lens can deliver good pictures!

This was taken with my D3100 and the 18-55 kitlens.

You can get used DSLRs as cheap as 100$ now.

ooo I shall post mine when I get back!

Personally tho, I think mirrorless is the way to go for most people. They focus decently enough, is lighter, smaller and produce images of similar or even better image quality than DSLRs. The weight and size really compels people to bring them out more, and as they say , the best camera is the one you have ON you. :P
