Hackintosh Build - HELP

Recommended Posts

Posted · Original PosterOP

Hi guys, I'm looking to make my computer a Hackintosh.

Right now I have Windows 7 and am planning to install Hackintosh on a separate hard drive, so I could keep both OS.

But I'm not sure if my computer build and parts are compatible for installing Hackintosh.

Looking for some help on that part.

CPU = i5 4670k

GPU = Gigabyte GTX 770 2GB

MOBO = Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H

MEMORY(RAM) = Kingston DDR3 1600mhz 2x8GB

PSU = Corsair TX750

CPU Cooler = Shadow Rock 2

STORAGE = 1TB Seagate Solid State Hybrid Drive (MAIN WINDOWS HARD DRIVE)

                      1TB Seagate Hard Drive (PLANNING TO INSTALL HACKINTOSH ON)

ASUS DVD drive

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Any advice and tips would be nice first time installing hackintosh.

Those parts will work fine.  Although if you want to check out TonyMacx86.com, they have a large community of people running hackintosh rigs who will likely be able to provide better advice than this forum.

the parts seem fine for a hackintosh, gigabyte mobo's often work the best with osx, but like vacsol said you can check it on tonymacx86

Should be totally fine with what you have.  I have built 5 Hacks.  Awesome way to go.  OSX for the business side and Windows for gaming.  Check out my thread in my sig.  I'll help when I can.  Tonymacx86 is where I got all my info to build and maintain my hacks.

+1 for another Vancouverite!!
