^^ Yes, get an SSD if you can, makes the whole system much quicker. Also, I would personally get a MSI or ASUS GTX 970, the EVGA one (I have this one) actually has heatpipe issues.

http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/evga-geforce-gtx-970-acx-has-misaligned-gpu-vs-heatpipes.html

Not sure if they have addressed it or if it's only with the ACX 1.0 coolers.

Personal thoughts on my EVGA GTX 970:

No coil while unless running VERY HIGH FPS.

Looks meh, MSI and ASUS look better IMO.

Again, the cooler problem

The blue accents appear to be stickers (though it doesn't looks like it'll come off anytime soon).

CLC is a closed loop cooler, or liquid cooler, or all-in-one. Basically referring to the  Corsair H50

A 256GB SSD is a perfect size to price right now. One can be had for around 100-130

I posting this for you to see prices.  You have way to much power for your build.  The GTX 970- uses 3.5 GB of it's VRAM at a high level of performance.  The 970 is safe to use at 1080p or even 1440p, but if you are planning a 4K resolution experience, you want a R9 290X or GTX 980 for more VRAM.

The i7 5820K (X99) is over kill for gaming, but is great for a gaming/workstation.

The AsRock Motherboard will perform around the same as your much more expensive mobo.

There are really only two questions you need to answer:

Are you using this PC for gaming only?

Are you going to be using a 4K display?

Case:  There is a good deal on the NZXT S340.  It is made 90% of steel, very sturdy.  It looks good.  It is on sale.  ...but it has no optical bay slots:

Other cases:

Phanteks Enthoo (white or black) - http://pcpartpicker.com/part/phanteks-case-phes614pbk

...and many more

The build i made is not just for gaming, ill need it to do 3d animation and rendering. I saw some game testing and gtx970 was able to play most games in 4k around 50fps. I will also be adding a gtx970 sli in the future, thats were my 850w comes in.

GTX 970 will get rekt in 4K I think.

That's all I'll say about if since Nvidia lied to their consumers about the card having 4GB of VRAM.

I would throw an SSD on there as well. I have a 128GB and it works fine for installing Windows and a few programs I frequently use.

You don't need that much power for the 970 in SLI, 750w would do.  Now, two 290X's means you would need more around the 850W range, 1000W is more than safe.

I haven't used the H55, but I have installed a h60 in a client's rig. Seems to be fine.

As long as H50 keep my 5820k cool, im fine.

I helped a friend who wanted to go, in his words, "full retard".  A few months back his X99 + R9 295X build cost him $3500 or so... monitor included.

I have a Crucial MX100 128GB. I thought it was reasonably priced when I purchased it when taking into consideration what I'd actually be putting on the drive. It has worked well for me thus far.

Are you so against the R9 295X?  The card kicks ass.  At under $700 it beats a single 980 by a hell of a lot... going to double check...

Two 980's beat it all around by 10%, but two 980's cost over $1000.

What resolutions will you be doing stuff at?

The 970 will be fine if doing stuff at 1080p, and the 980 might be overkill for it, although I personally still wouldn't recommend the 970 since Nvidia lied. Their ethical practices are more important to me than the actual performance of the card, but if you don't care about that and will only be doing 1080p then go for it.

Im not lol, im just not familiar with amd and rumor about their lack of update on their gpu. I dont really care actually, i want the product that will give me most bang out of bucks. It can be AMD or Nvidia.
