It would help to know what cpu, cpu cooler and motherboard you have right now.

Rest of the system specs would be usefull too, but not that important.

who cares...

To answer this question properly, i need to know what mental incapability your friends have.

No offence intended, playing a game won't damage anything. You're absolutely fine. If it does overheat, it will shutdown and your CPU/GPU won't be damaged.

Don't believe them, they are seriously (excuse the language) too retarded to understand how a pc works

Hi Jacob,

Don't worry, you can play your game, you won't damage your CPU.   Your CPU has built in mechanisms to protect itself from overheating and damage.

If you are interested you can also monitor system temperatures including CPU temps using free software like Real Temp and HW monitor.

This will be the second time I recommend this tonight:

Clean the dust out of your PC.  When was the last time you cleaned your PC?

Your temperatures are actually okay though... still dust is a huge heat builder.

89 degrees?  That is too high.  What are you doing when the temperature spikes? oh wait

That's 89F, the temp is fine.

If that was Celcius, you might have a problem.

I don't know what "cefi" is, but...

Everything sounds fine except for the loud fan you mentioned.  Do you know what CPU cooler you have?  Is it the stock cooler, or an aftermarket cooler like this:

I will say this. Play your game(s) while your friends are at your place, and show them how wrong they are. Don't say anything related to temperature or overheating, just let the computer show them that they are wrong.
