 from my experience an FX 8 core cpu plays most games much better than an overclocked haswell pentium with much less stuttering..

 

The point was that it's an extream pity how bad an Intel Dual Core can embarrass AMDs flagship CPU.

A cpu that is 4 years older than the 8350 can embarrass them, there isn't much to pity.

it does better than the fx with some games, but with modern multi-threaded games the fx is a much stronger cpu (bf4...)

if i had to choose id pick intel for the upgrade path of course but if i was to be stock with the chip i'd pick even an FX4300 over a pentium honestly...

I don't think the Pentium dual core G3258 is 4 years old.

Core 2 Duo E8500, Xeon X5450 are both 4 years older and have a higher IPC at the same clock speeds.
