What are the temps like with the noctuas? Build looks good mate!

I never really cared about temps when I was building this. Silence was the objective. CPU was around 30-35c idle and 50c-ish while gaming. GPU 20-25c while idle, 60c while gaming.

I love the noctua fans they are awsome

They are really nice! I do love the colouring.

Very clean and pretty.

Cheers :D Noctua's are great.

7870 and 3570k is pretty midrange! Like a high low-end build.

Love them noctuas

As do I, they're great.

love it

Cheers :)

The noise foam, really makes a difference, it's really good. Noctua stuff is also insanely quiet.

Noctua + Windowed case is like deviding by zero! But this one actually looks nice. :D

Haha it was a risk! But it payed off, cheers :)

Where'd y'all come from anyway? Was I featured in Build Logs or something?

Face the power supply downwards. Itll help muffle the fan noise helping it be more quiet~

Nvm :D

I have a 7870 but I don't have a 3570K (I plan on getting one this Black Friday)

Also I don't have a $100 case or $28 fans so either my build is lower middle class or yours is lower upper class

  • 2 months later...

i want to build a quiet pc to be put inside my room as well...

this will be my first pc and i don't know anything about PC in general. i used laptops and the softwares, but i hv zero knowledge about PC hardware.

so far from googling i managed to collect these parts for PC quiet...

Intel i5 3570

Noctua NH-U12P

MSI H87-G43 or MSI H87I

Corsair Vengeance 8gb DDR3 1600mhz

MSI GTX 650 Ti Boost 2gb

Spare SSD

Spare HDD

the part where im still confused is the PSU and the casing.

im confused whether i should go bitfenix prodigy or fractal define R3 for my build case

and whether i should go seasonic M12II 520W bronze or G450W gold...?

i dont hv enough to buy G550W gold though which is why i don't put it there... do you think seasonic PSU is quiet enough?

Did you ditch your antec water cooler when you bought the Noctua fans or did you used both?

cheerss

The 520 is plenty. Seasonic is generally one of the most quietest and reliable companies around.
