Will 2015 be the year of 4K?

I sit less than 6 feet away from my 50" 1080p TV (Because of the size of my living room), and I can still sometimes perceive the pixels, and I DO wear glasses.

 

That "optimal placement" chart is meaningless for most people, since most people don't have optimal rooms to put their TV's in. I'd rather have a bigger TV that I can sit closer to. I find it more immersive anyway.

I agree on this. I have a 55" 1080p tv and I sit 5 feet away because my room is full of other things that prevent me from using all of it.

Tbh 55" is really big if you only sit 5 feet away.

It really depends on eye sight. I have decent eye sight so 55" is fine for me. I had a 47" at 5 feet away. The only reason is that the there was simply no where else to put the 55" tv. The stand is to big for the table downstairs.

I don't know about going bigger but its really whatever you like.

I have already upgraded but I don't think a lot of people will be eager to upgrade until 4k content is readily available via cable or consoles.
