The only reason they removed DRM is because they knew nobody would buy one and they're huge moneywhores

i remember one person that "end buying a PS3" instead a Xbox 360

 

just because the PS3 "have" blu-ray (and we can watch movies on they)

 

so, in the good side... they fix this big mistake... on the new Xbox one

that's the exact reason I bought mine.  That was the best blu-ray player at the time and in some ways it might still be for the given price that is.  Now I don't care for consoles at all, my fat ps3 is literally collecting dust.   I'm a pc guy all the way mainly because I use it for everything....so investing on a $400+ gpu is worth it to me.  So no! I won't be buying either consoles but if I were....ps4 all the way baby!!!  ;)

Lool you all say "I hate Microsoft" but i can guess what OS most of you are using on your computer ;)

that's because we don't have a choice.  Trust me if everything was available for Linux,  you would've seen a massive exodus like

nothing before.  Unfortunately the reality is that all the games are natively  written for MS as well as tons of free utilities not to mention

hardware support.

As I see it, they tried to embrace the future of cloud services and online connections but the masses weren't ready for it, thus they changed it and did what Sony has received so much praise for: Making a console that is exactly like the old one but with improved hardware. That is what people wanted, so Microsoft gave it to them.

 

In the future we will look back at this discussion and think how foolish we were to make such a fuss about a machine that wants to stay online. Our phones and tablets do this already and we wouldn't want it any other way.

Yeah, online services with DRM BS.  If you want that experience then I would suggest going with PC.

Nope, I will not.

 

I don't really trust MS at this point. When it gets popular, they're just going to flip the DRM switch, and you need to have kinect on all the time (which is creepy, at least they're probably going to have to change that based on privacy laws).

I would not buy one, some of the exclusives you can find on the PC. The PS4 (mostly JRPG's) you will NEVER find on a PC. So a PS4 is a great addition to a PC.

Honestly, I was saving up for one of the new consoles but I think I'll just keep my PS3 in my living room for Netflix, Blu Rays and God of War and use the money to upgrade my PC. I could use a new case, water cooling, another 4gb RAM and a new video card. $400-500 would cover all that.

Plus, with the Steam summer sales coming up, I plan on adding quite a few titles there. So sorry M$ & Sony, my cash is staying in the PC industry.

I prefer PC gaming but I would consider buying one now but they should have done this at the beginning, damn Microsoft but I think it was done on purpose to see what peoples reactions would be.

How does this demonstrate that they don't give a damn about their users? The users complained, they changed it. I think it shows the opposite. And don't give the "they only did it for the money", of course they did. Everything any company ever does is for the money. Without money, no company. Don't be naive.

People will be begging for Steam on Console before long. Of course, they'd need to implement it properly (reducing prices, pre-loading digital games before launch, frequent blowout sales).

No, I was going to buy it anyways. There are three types of people who don't buy xbones :

 

1.People who legitimately want a ps4

 

2. Idiots who follow trends and shit on the internet and hop onto the wagon of hating the xbone even though the DRM problems don't even affect them.

 

3. Idiots who can't accept the future or change or bitch about the simplest things like "kinect spying on you". (Wow, seriously?)

 

Sadly, most of the people are 2 and 3.

Anyone with a brain will pass on the xbox one and get ps4 or Wii U instead, unless ofcourse their xbox one exclusives you waiting for, but honestly their is't even a single good exclusive.

 

All the good exclusives always where ps4 exclusives.

 

xbox one exclusives never been exclusive and avaible on pc quite often.

I could take you seriously only if you knew how to spell. So what about Ryse, Forza, and Dead Rising? Have you seen those for Preorder on the PC. It's personal preference for everyone. Anyone with a brain wouldn't say that "If you had a brain then you would pass on the Xbox One." They would say "Hey, these people can get whatever they want because it won't affect me in anyway."

I don't really care for consoles i prefer to sit at a desk and use a keyboard and mouse over using a remote so no i'm not going to buy one. but if I was to get a console i would get the ps4 because it is more powerful.
