Project Swift-Force

Project Swift-Force

(I'm bad at names)

My current PC is coming up on 5 years of age, its struggling to put out 60 fps consistently in today's current games. I think its time for a bit of an upgrade.

The goal with this new build is to achieve 144 fps @1440p on most games without having to lower the graphical quality too much.

So lets get onto the components.

Update 2:

The case arrived on Monday with all the other fans/accessories and I've finally got this setup. Here is some amateur photo's of me getting the thing built, and trying to learn how to camera at the same time.

I'm not great with the camera and I got a little slack with the amount of photos I took near the end. But I plan to take more once I get my new desk. That way I'll clean up the mess of wires that is currently sitting behind my pc/monitors.

I also want to change the blue LEDs in the "Windforce" Logo of the GPU's to red LEDs. That may take me a little while to get around to that. xD

Looks great!

Changing the LED colour isn't too hard - just sand the paint off of the logo and then paint the logo red (I think this is how you do it). (I don't take responsibility if you break your card :P)

Otherwise it is a great build - love if we could have some benchmarks :D

I thought that would be the case. But I think I heard somewhere the logo is clear and the actual lights are blue.

If I painted the clear cover red it might look odd with the blue lights. I'll probably have to order up some red leds and just solder them on.

Might be the case with the windforces - I know that you just sand the stuff off on the reference ones, but not sure about the windforce
