What antivirus do you use, if you use it?

Whorax

Anti-virus does real-time scanning, so malware scans aren't really as good as an active antivirus.

Malwarebytes has an active real-time scanner if you happen to pay for it. Tho I personally think everyone who needs an active antivirus should do scans with Malwarebytes from time to time.

Either Avast! or AVG free... I also install Spybot S&D free and every once and a while do a scan with that as well :)

EDIT: It would be cool if you could make a poll for this topic @Whorax

Hmm. How exactly do I do that after I've already made the topic? Sorry, I'm still kind of new. :P

Norton Internet Security 2014.

Yes, Norton. It works perfectly fine for my needs, is lightweight, doesn't annoy me every 5 minutes and I've never caught a virus, malware, trojan, spyware or whatever else in the nearly 10 years I've used it. (And yes, I did try running malwarebyte, nothing was found.)

Though honestly I mostly use it for the firewall, blocking access to the internet for "certain ill-aquired software" easily... That said, I haven't bought Norton since 2012, now I just keep renewing a 180 days trial. (And even when I bought it, it was always during the October~November sales, where the Internet Security suite drops to like, $20 for 3PC)

I could switch to something else, but why would I? It has been working just great for years now, I really don't care what others who have little to no experience with it have to say, like how it's a ressource hog, doesn't catch anything and overall worst than hitler. (None of these are true since 2009)

Pretty much yes. Reading what the haters have to say about it, even here on this very forum (in other anti virus related topics), that's how Norton seems to be depicted.

I think windows defender is enough. So far, I only got one unwanted program got installed without my consent; rocket tab. But no virus though.
I only worried about virus coming from someone else's usb drive, or external HDD.
