Intel Core i7 5820K Giveaway

Hi Nick

I would buy an X99 board and create my first enthusiast grade platform. There's some relatively inexpensive x99 boards to be had, and winning a 5820k would certainly cut out a significant amount of the cost.

Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow; Motherboard: MSI ZZ490 Gaming Edge; CPU: i7 10700K @ 5.1GHz; Cooler: Noctua NHD15S Chromax; RAM: Corsair LPX DDR4 32GB 3200MHz; Graphics Card: Asus RTX 3080 TUF; Power: EVGA SuperNova 750G2; Storage: 2 x Seagate Barracuda 1TB; Crucial M500 240GB & MX100 512GB; Keyboard: Logitech G710+; Mouse: Logitech G502; Headphones / Amp: HiFiMan Sundara Mayflower Objective 2; Monitor: Asus VG27AQ

x99 masterrace!

Well, my a6-6400k is bottlenecking my 270, lol. But the 270 will bottleneck 5820. But I have saved some money and my PC will be a present to my dad, if I get the 5820K!

I'm broke, so even if I win this, I wouldn't be able to afford an X99 board and DDR4 ram..  :( If I were to win this giveaway, I'd probably dance for a few hours and then cry because I cant use the CPU in a computer. Then I'd tape the CPU to my car so that I gain +500 gigahorsepower core with turbo boost up to 20psi

Also, this post is hard to read in night theme... did automatic font not work again for you Nick? All I see a happy face but that's about it.

What I will do with this processor if I win? I would use this one in my main system for rendering (Which I sometimes need to do for my dad) and gaming and I will possible use my 4790k in a server to host something like a minecraft server with 185 mods :D. God I want this CPU so badly <3

RIG: I7-4790k @ 4.5GHz | MSI Z97S SLI Plus | 12GB Geil Dragon RAM 1333MHz | Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970 (1550MHz core/7800MHz memory) @ +18mV(Maxed out at 1650/7800 so far) | Corsair RM750 | Samsung 840 EVO 120GB, 1TB Seagate Barracuda | Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 (Closed) | Sound Blaster Z                                                                                                                        Getting: Noctua NH-D15 | Possible 250GB Samsung 850 Evo                                                                                        Need a console killer that actually shits on every console? Here you go (No MIR/Promo)

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

Honestly I would either sell it (Cause I don't have enough money to upgrade to a new socket :( ) or find some money somewhere to upgrade to it

If I sold it I would get an air 240, some nice fans, nice cables, and a new CPU cooler

edit - or I could sell my current case/mobo/cpu setup and upgrade to it with the money :D

I want the 5820k so bad.

I want it more much, much more :P .

I would replace my ageing 3570k rig with one based on that little beauty. And based on if I see any luck with my Peltier project/tinkering Ill see if I can adapt it to keep this little guy comfortable while I overclock the hell out of him.

System CPU : Ryzen 9 5950 doing whatever PBO lets it. Motherboard : Asus B550 Wifi II RAM 80GB 3600 CL 18 2x 32GB 2x 8GB GPUs Vega 56 & Tesla M40 Corsair 4000D Storage: many and varied small (512GB-1TB) SSD + 5TB WD Green PSU 1000W EVGA GOLD

You can trust me, I'm from the Internet.
