I get the whole "retro unboxing" idea, but I also feel that the video does a bit of a disservice to the EVOLV. This case is now home for my system and there were many things said about it in the video that were a bit inaccurate:

- The "ssd bracket" is a pump mount. I would've preferred another modular ssd bracket included instead of this, but... whatever. I bought one.

- The side panels simply lift off after you've opened them. They are a bit fiddly to put back in though.

- The top panel simply pops off.

- The 3.5" brackets allow mounting the drives with the connectors on the outside.

- There is ample space for wire management.

I did find a few flaws with the case:

- If you replace the front 200mm fan with two 140mm fans, the bottom screws of the bottom fan conflict with the dual 3.5" drive cage.

- The side window has a bit of an inner bulge, all the EVOLV cases seem to have it.

- The case is a bit large for an mATX, I can see a full ATX version that preserves the overall dimensions.

In conclusion I think the case deserves a proper review since it represents a nice departure from the plastic cases Corsair and other manufacturers keep pumping out.

If you guys liked this case, check out some of Jonsbo cases that are sold under the Cooltek or Rosewill Legacy brands. Like the U1, U2, U3 or the W1 or W2. I also have a U3 that is incredible small for a mATX case that can take full sized components and I'm liking a W2 for my next ATX build.

The Jonsbo/Cooltek/Rosewill Legacy W2 is on my shopping list for next year. Jonsbo brings almost Lian Li quality at a fraction of the price.

There are more things in heaven and earth then are dreamt of in your philosophy.

That's a ballin' case. It addresses so many of the issues that I faced when building in my 350D.

Also, it was nice to see the unboxing and review in the old courtyard.

Could you guys keep doing old school unboxings/reviews like this on an infrequent basis? Like once every 3/4 months?

Complete with like iPhone thickness comparison, old-school intro, etc, I think a lot of people would get a kick out of it. Brings back the memories and provides an insight into the channel's roots, especially for new comers. You have come a long way Linus and LMG, well done!

All future case reviews should be done this way. :P   AND I dare you to do one unveiling during a storm just to prove you haven't gone soft.

Totally loved the review BTW

Ps   you need some sun lol

Its actually a pretty decent case, but I still wouldn't give it up for a Corsair 750D.

I really missed this, also the old intro for NCIX with the porn music and all.
