Is stuttering still a problem with SLI on G-sync at 1440p? I've been contemplating getting a 2nd 780 ti for my rig since I have a ROG Swift, but if the stuttering issue is still a problem. I'll stick with the single 780 ti until next years gpu's since dropping to the mid 40's on fps doesn't seem to bother me on the swift.

What was the cool glowing 970 in that video? It shows up when the camera shows the test bench while gaming.

Is it a 970 or a 980, the glow was a breathing effect.

Could you find me the pcpartpicker page for the 970 version? I happen to be building a gtx 970 PC and that would look amazing.

I did not know you could SLI 2 cards from different manufacturers

Only the GPU needs to be the same, if you get a card with less memory it will limit the other card to that lower amount.

Even putting 670 and 660 Ti in SLI should technically work, SLI just will make sure that the cards are running exactly the same, meaning the 670 will be downclocked and have cores disabled so that it has the specs of a 660ti (So it's pointless to go that route).

Clock should be just the same on both GPUs.

The FAQ on NVIDIAs page regarding SLI also help to understand the limits on possibilities with SLI:

I think you won't really experience micro stuttering nowadays with 2-way SLI but I would still refer to some FCAT / Frame Timing analysis for dual 780 Ti's, i.e. like this one:

http://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/gtx-780-ti-sli-geforce-review,9.html

Graphs for Frame Timings show if there are some dropped frames (graph spikes down to 0) or stutters (graphs spikes up), but read the text also, there could be some issues but you won't necessarily notice them, if the frames are still drawn quickly enough.

I were actually thinking about the same thing, but it seems like I should just stick with my single GTX 970, and then later on do an upgrade to the ''newest'' thing, when that gets out, and do SLI on that one, as it will probably in so long time far ahead, that the GTX 980 will be the last gen.

Great video by the way!
