1080p IPS monitors for 150$

SKOONJar

Hey guys last week I posted a topic on a asus 3d monitor but I have recently decided against it seeing as I didn't know if I would like it. So now I have a new question. I want to get 2 1080p IPS panel monitors each costing 150$ so I wanted to see your opinions about the subject. What is out there that is good? Yes it has to be 1080p it has to IPS and I am firm on the price limit. Size is 21.5 and up preferably a 23?

See I was looking at those acers because linus suggested them and I never have used anything from acer are they any good? Also I know this is almost impossible to predict but how much longer do you think these will be around(for sale thinking I might get a third later possible 6 months from now). I found these and they have been going on sale frequently any opinion on it: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005BZNEVQ/ref=nosim/?ascsubtag=FWbud36l&tag=fatwalletcom&linkCode=as1

My friend has the 23" Acer, he really likes it.  Not really any difference between that and the ASUS one except for the finish (matte vs glossy).

Why not just get one 1440p monitor?

I would love to but chances are I couldn't max everything out which would mean I would go on another upgrade frenzy.... But unless you could find one at a really good pice I might consider it as long as its IPS

The Acer is matte?

That's glorious.

Just found a Qnix for 290$ soooooo tempting. I am very sketched out about the off brandness of it though...

I wouldn't go for those korean ones, you cant adjust them in any way and they promise less than 5 dead pixels... which doesn't exactly scream confidence. 1 year warranty too and you have to pay the shipping if you want to return it.

Is there another company you know of that has similar prices and a better backbone so to say.

You buy one and get the $40 SQUARETRADE warranty which they will give you your money back if it can't be fixed.. There is a risk for sure.. And you can adjust and calibrate the monitor as there are hundreds of color profiles online for 60hz 96hz and 120hz.. I got one and playing bf3 at 1440p at 120hz is amazing.. But they are all not gonna hit 120hz but I know all hit at least 96hz.. I was lucky as I got a perfect monitor with zero dead pixels and no blb.. But not everyone is as lucky as me..

Ad if you get a completely broken one they will pay for shipping back.. The purchase is also backed by eBay so you can file a claim with them for a full refund..

Also look up monoprice monitors or overlord. All are sold in the US and I know the monoprice has a 30day guarantee of happiness.. The monoprice will not OC though.. But the overlords do..

I bought a asus 27in 1080p monitor ad the pixels are to big for me. You really have to have on full AA to make screen look good..
