Choosing a monitor

shirokado

Being the genius that I am. I dropped my LG 27ea63v. Now I have to choose a new monitor.

Now I'm just wondering, should I opt for a touch screen monitor.... I'm looking at the Acer T232HL bmidz.

I have the money, but is it worth it? If touch screen is not, I'm just going for a Asus PA248Q. I know both are great monitors with IPS displays, I'm just deciding whether to get a touch screen monitor or not. And if I do get the Acer t232hl i'll be upgrading to windows 8 pro from my windows 7 professional.

Money is of no concern. My specs are listed in my signature.

Fractal Design Define R4 | MSI x79a-GD45 | 3960X @ 4.6Ghz | Lots of EK Blocks | EVGA GTX780Ti 3GB | Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB (4x4) DDR3 1866 | Samsung 840 Pro 512GB SSD | Western Digital Red 2TB x4 (Raid 10) | Corsair AX760 | Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

I've got a Dell U2312HM, and it's been great. I am getting a Asus PB278Q soon though. It's good, cheap, ips panel, 1440p and 27" monitor.

i would go for a 27 inch monitor but i don't have space on my desk. I need space for my speakers on the side so my optimal monitor size is 24 inches.

OK. I see that money is no issue (I've read your specs) so since there are no 1440p 24" monitors, I think you should go with the Dell U2410 or ASUS ProArt sereis (PA248Q).
