Awe man I have the perfect system to submerge in oil too. I can put my mini itx media pc in oil and make it a super sweet show stopper.

I got interested in the idea of a mineral oil cooled computer ever since the video showing off Luke's mineral oil computer a while back but never considered it really.

Puget's case is just beautiful and it's a complete shame they can't sell them anymore so whoever gets their hands on one of these cases should show extreme respect; of course me included :)

Any of the version of the case would be absolutely fantastic, I'll make sure to build something great regardless !

This build inspired me to want to build a mineral oil PC, after the part 1 I began looking into ordering one of these systems and as I waited for part 2 and 3 so I could learn more of what I was getting myself into this happened. Liquid solutions or whatever they are called even cited Puget Systems in their patent which just seems like an even bigger slap in the face. You type in mineral oil PC on Google and all you see is info on Puget Systems. Here's hoping they find a way or someone of higher power finds a way to right this wrong and let them go back to building these kits again, as I would love to build something in one!

Yes, i'm not in U.S.A or Canada, BUT i have a company  in the USA who will take care of it and send it to me. 

 

If admins will wonder who will do it - i'll send i direct message with a link to company who sends things worldwide from the USA.

 

Also i'll make a best possible performing PC (5960X/980 [980 Ti -as soon as] ) and create a topic with photos and probably video (Nikon D800) of creating it.

This is my first post because I was finally motivated enough to create an account, plus I watch everything in the car while working so I never remember. I hope that doesn't hurt my odds!

 

I was researching how to do this a while ago but couldn't afford it. It's such an awesome idea for an HTPC or office PC, something that doesn't necessarily get upgraded that frequently.

It really sucks that we won't be able to enjoy any more of these systems from Puget but If it works out that I'm one of the lucky 4 (I'd prefer ITX but I'm easy...*licks palm*) my PC buddy (Daveybox)

and I will make sure our system reflects the enthusiasm that caused them to start building these cases in the first place.

 

Is the patent actually owned by these other guys or could Puget Systems release all the required blueprints and stuff to build these cases as a slap in the face sorta thing?

It's said how puget could not continue to use the their design of the mineral oil computer. I hope they come up with a new design that works around the patent.

I would prefer the Micro ATX

Puget definitely doesn't deserve the harassment from these guys. I would absolutely love to build one of these and post it proudly all over the internet with Puget's name all over it!

Just recently started watching your videos and was amazed by most of your builds but this one had spiked enough of an interested that after the first time (currently on third time) that I watched. I went out researching where to buy this kit. Of course, by the time I found their site the patent troll had already happened. I then began showing it off to friends around my school that don't have the same appreciation of computers as I do which put that off as being stupid. Yet I still would love to do this project. While money that a teenager has is always tight but I'm currently working out which parts I would be able to use on a matx or keeping the other computer and just building this as a side mineral oil cooled gaming rig. I convinced my dad to even help me on the build which it will be my third computer and his first. Which probably wouldn't be the best first build for him to have but It seems like a great project overall that should keep me more than entertained the rest of this year. I would be fine with either of the cases! Mostly due to the fact of me not owning either of those form factors of board.

I spent a LOT of time on Puget's site poking around and coming up with a plan for a build. It is truly a shame that they can no longer sell these kits. I had intentions of purchasing a kit before I started picking up parts for my next build, but they were NLA. :(

I've been thinking about doing one of these for awhile, I wondered why it was I couldn't come across the kit, I would be down for a matx version however I'm salary based where I work now so I don't get paid till the first, I hope the winners love them and make some crazy machines!

My build-mate (Snoood, a few posts up) are super excited! My brain is spinning just thinking of all the new building activities we could do.

I've been wanting to make a mineral oil cooled PC for years but was waiting for Puget to release the kits. I've been following their build logs and their history on the project and I've been smitten with the bug. The coolest addition to my rig would be oil cooling. Best regards to Puget. I guess this is my entry!

This really sucks because my technology center class for computer science was going to buy this case and build a mineral oil computer as a class.
