nzxt G10 on the 970

ProjectX01

so i'm thinking of buying the nzxt g10 for my gtx 970

it's a palit 970 jetstream, and im wondering if anyone else has tried it? is it cooler? if so by how much? my card sits at 39-40 at idle and about 70-80 under load.

Anything water cooled would be cooler then that cooler. So yes, it would be "cooler"

Not sure if it's compatible. Doesn't look like a reference board. I could be wrong though.

Yeah same here

and by how much it depends on what all in one cooler you get, Kraken x61 would cool better then a x41 but no matter what I would say at least 15-45% cooler

i can't see how that is getting up to 80c under load. even if it is that is pretty normal temps for a gpu, so i won't worry about it. water on a 970 is very overkill

even so, unless it getting over 80c then its fine. you can set a more aggressive fan profile in msi afterburner if you wanted to keep it a bit cooler  :)

i actually run it at about 70-80% load when gaming. at a 100% it gets quite noisy.
