Feel like mentioning that the same BF4 commands work at Inquisition, aka "PerfOverlay.DrawFps 1" shows frames.

Seems like the GCN cores/290X ages a lot slower, its starting to beat the 780 Ti that's a much larger chip and sometimes even the 980.

I'm working on a (somewhat) value first build and trying to pick a video card. Seeing this made me think that a R9 290 might be the way to go. Here's why:

Right now the 290 is priced approximately equal to most 770's yet out performs them at both low and high resolutions. The 970 does better at lower resolution, but 290 can do better at 4K. The 970 is also priced almost $100 or more right now. The only issue that I'm thinking of is Mantle vs GeForce. Like they said in the video they had some issues using Mantle.

So tell me; is GeForce worth the drop in performance or increase in price? What would you guys recommend?

A few that didn't watch the campaign video would think that LMG was asking for $20k just to throw stuff at Luke. You should add it in the video that the main goal is to get a new office.
