The 980's would most likely beat them in performance because they are made for performance. The titan z is Made more for doing difficult rendering and editing.

So, 4 Titan Black GPUs? Aside from the awful scaling in games, the cost is awful. Titan Z obviously will perform better.

Titan and Titan Z aren't using the same GPUs. Titan Z's use Titan Blacks which utilize a fully enabled GK110 GPU. Titan is essentially a 780 with 64 bit Compute enabled.

Looking at the 980 review, the Titan Z has a good lead over the 980.

How about Dual Titan Z X 2 * 4 SLI DUALITY CLASSIFIED WOMBO COMBO vs 980 16-Way Crossfire into SLI? Which one would perform better?

unless you plan to custom cool the titan z go for the 980s or face thermal throttling percentages so high it makes the depth of the hole ubisoft have dug themselves into irrelevant
