You should do a nas build next! get a raid controller for it, some cheap ecc ram and all you would need are hard drives.

Exactly 1V? Damn.

Yup. Even with the stock cooler, the hottest core was like 47C, and the fan speed was like 1250RPM (and the fan can go up to 2000RPM). I'm making my dad order me some stuff. This cooler is too loud. Period. Doesn't look half bad.

Athena is officially rock stable @ stock clocks and 1.000v! I've run IBT twice, and it keeps its cool. Using the Standard preset in the Gigabyte System Information Viewer program to keep it quieter, so it could have been cooler. Still running the stock cooler.

When I get my Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, hell yes.

 

On a side note, I have the voltage at .950v now, and it's still super happy.

for sure,on the stock cooler I hit 65c on prime95 on a h97 chipset i bet i could get 4.5-4.6. The only thing that stock cooler is a noisey little bugger. 90 dollar board

where did you get an engineering sample from????? nvidia's testing and r&d facility is 30mins away from where i live gonna go and ask them for one .....

Oh that's cool though, the older of my PowerEdges has dual 3.06 Ghz single core hyperthreaded Xeons. They're cool systems, just not if you have to use them as a daily machine.

Mine are the 2.8GHz flavour. Hyperthreading (I recently found out that hyperthreading wasn't enabled in the BIOS) doesn't seem to make much of a difference in some games (yes I do light gaming on it), but in some it made quite a difference. It's a HP XW200
