7850 1gb Questions

Monti

So I'm going to buy a new 7850 1gb. My resolution is 1240x1080 and i've heard that the 7850 1 gb is good for my resolution. In the future will the 1gb version be able to run games a 1600x900 monitor? If not I will have to buy the 2gb. Thanks for any help.

Hey we meet again ;). 1600x900 is very similar in terms of pixels with 1280x1024. If you are thinking of using low amounts of aa (4x) then you should be fine.

That card will run any game in the world at 1280x1024. Games like crysis and metro will be less then 30 fps at 1600x900.

numbers

1.339.200 = 1240x1080

1.440.000 = 1600x0900

essentially speaking, the two sets need the same GPU power (1GB is ok)  :rolleyes:

still... if you can reach the 2GB model... go for it (is always good have one less bottleneck)  ^_^
