It's less noticeable due to motion blur.

They are not off, they are on low.

Seems like it disables shadows on most objects, and it leaves it on the most noticeable ones, such as buildings and the main character.

How about a few screenshots of the Xbox version of the SpongeBob Movie game? A few things to note here:

  • This game renders at 640x480 with a pass of 2x MSAA, common for RenderWare games built for the PlayStation 2 but also ported to the Xbox (i.e. Burnout 3: Takedown and SpongeBob SquarePants: Lights, Camera, Pants!)
  • This game also has considerably higher quality audio than the PS2 version... very much so, concerning sound effects, especially. I believe all of the audio in this game is 44.1kHz IMA ADPCM audio compared to the mixed sample rate (lots of 22050Hz/24kHz audio?) VAG ADPCM audio from the PlayStation 2 version. Interestingly enough, I prefer the way the GameCube version handles audio concerning the stereo mix (in which the GameCube has audio quality much more comparable to the Xbox version, bizarrely enough). It's louder and more consistent sounding, whereas certain sound effects sound too quiet on the Xbox version even when they're raised up to its maximum in-game volume.
  • This game features a widescreen mode... although it's one that crops the image rather than rendering more than what the 4:3 mode would.
  • This game has some minor performance and texture rendering issues on the Xbox 360, which is the platform I played this on.
