Woah, Need for Speed 2016 has held the fuck up.

...except for when I fell through the map.

Seriously, this game's almost 5 years old and it still looks really nice. Especially considering that it's a 14GB game. Hella compression with the files going on. Hella encryption too because Frostbite.

I've struggeled to play Frostpunk for well over 3 hours, but somehow it got this going alright.. Just four hours into the game total.. Im almost shocked how easy its going.

 

Only for a blizzard to come and kill my entire colony later.

Call of Duty: Black Ops runs really nicely on an Xbox One X, I'd recommend it if you have one.

Skyrim. Fast travelled to the city and for some reason all of the city guards were in the one spot forming a conga line.

Actually annoying because my assassination target was right next to them so I had to wait for them to all shuffle away before I could complete the contract.

 

 

 

Oh, and the intro cutscene definitely wasn't broken with the horse and cart doing flips in the air.
Turns out Skyrim doesn't like more than 60FPS.

It's set in perpetual night time with limited visibility and wet roads. It's the easiest environment to get to look good. Frostbite also hasn't changed much, but the space optimization is really nice.

Oh, definitely, it's easy to make a night map look good, but even still, it's genuinely not a bad looking game five years down the line.

It's nice to be able to play this at high enough resolution and on a big enough screen to actually read the kanji.

PCSX2 can be a lot of fun to dick around with, especially with non-interlacing patches. Here's Enthusia Professional Racing at 1920x1080.

Sorry about the reflection map on the car looking weird, that's just some odd issue with PCSX2 that happens in both DX11 and OpenGL hardware rendering modes.
